You are a state-registered nurse and registered with the Nursing Board. Experience in the PACU, operating room, or critical care unit is highly valued. You are meticulous, responsive, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced, technical environment. Your observational skills and vigilance are essential to ensuring patient safety in the postoperative period.
We are looking for nurses to work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a large polyclinic. You will be joining an institution renowned for the quality of its care and the diversity of its surgical specialties. These are day shifts from June to August, with the possibility of transitioning to a fixed-term contract depending on your preferences and the needs of the facility. In the PACU, you will participate in the monitoring and care of patients in the immediate post-operative period, working closely with the medical and paramedical team. Your responsibilities will include: monitoring patients post-operatively; assessing and preventing post-operative pain; detecting potential complications and alerting the medical team; ensuring patient safety and comfort; and contributing to the continuity and quality of care in the PACU.
